North American entrepreneur Bianca Schaefer has been appointed by the Diplomatic Council (DC) as the new Head of Mission Canada. In this function she is responsible for the recruitment and support of DC members in Canada. Also part of her job is to support DC member companies from all over the world with inquiries about the Canadian market and with finding contacts in Canada. We can also expect more participants from North America at international online events in the future.

The new Head of Mission is primarily active in the healthcare sector as an entrepreneur. She has founded several companies in the health care sector and led them to success. One focus is on online business.

The Diplomatic Council unites diplomacy, business leaders, science’s leading minds and society’s front-runners on resolving mankind’s biggest challenges. It is based on three pillars:

We function as a global think tank with the world’s leading minds and subject matter experts across cross-functional subjects.

We are an elite global business network that builds the bridge between business leaders and the areas they can serve.

We serve as the Diplomatic Council Foundation supporting social good around the world.

Benefits for companies from North America

For companies from North America, the Diplomatic Council primarily opens up international access in Europe and Asia. For example, companies from Canada or the USA can obtain a comprehensive market entry strategy for Europe or Asia through the Diplomatic Council - or just individual business contacts, depending on their requirements.

In addition, the Diplomatic Council provides individuals or companies with direct contact to the United Nations. The background: The Diplomatic Council has been granted by the United Nations the highest status that can be achieved for a non-governmental organization (NGO), the special consultative status with the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the United Nations.

This status entitles the Diplomatic Council to attend UN sessions and make written and oral statements at international UN conferences and events. The Diplomatic Council will consequently have the opportunity to globally support the interest of economic diplomacy, express its views and influence the work of the Economic and Social Council: a flourishing economy that brings prosperity to mankind is one of the best peace guarantors worldwide. Diplomatic Council members can apply to become Diplomatic Council UN delegates and attend UN sessions in New York, Geneva and Vienna. By offering this unique opportunity, the Diplomatic Council opens to its members access to one of the most exclusive, global contact networks with regard to economic and social issues.

Seal of Trust and Status Card

Each member (individual or company) receives a "Diplomatic Council Seal of Trust" that can be used for marketing and sales. Many members use the seal on their website, email signature and letterhead to highlight their affiliation with a UN network. This builds trust and promotes business.

In addition, each member receives a Diplomatic Council Status Card that indicates their special rank. The card requests companies and government agencies to assist the cardholder as much as possible in carrying out their duties. Often this earns an upgrade with hotels or airlines (depending on availability).

Working for peace

A thriving economy bringing prosperity to mankind is one of the best guarantors of peace. Based on this perception,  the Diplomatic Council has translated its goal of promoting international understanding into an economic mandate. Against this background, the Diplomatic Council is a global business network providing a platform for diplomats, business leaders and societal personalities to meet and enrich each other.
