Green methanol consortium founded

Diplomatic Council (DC) member Jean Pütz, together with DC Chairman Andreas Dripke, has explained it in detail in his new book "Prosperity and economic growth without regrets, climate rescue yes - deindustrialization no!", ISBN 978-3-98674-104-4): Green methanol can replace fossil fuels as a global energy source.

Investments in the double-digit billion range secured

A global consortium has now been formed to launch the technology described in the book worldwide. This includes Diplomatic Council Member Frank Obrist's Obrist Group, EWU Tech Ltd and DSE Green Technology Holdings. Together, the companies will implement the Obrist technology in concrete projects in Namibia, Egypt, Thailand and the USA. An investment volume in the double-digit billion euro range has been secured in these countries. The realization of the projects is planned for the coming months.

With the patented Obrist technology for climate-positive methanol production, more CO2 is removed from the atmosphere during production than is released during the subsequent combustion process. This process is also referred to as "below zero" because the CO2 balance is climate-friendly. It can also be referred to as "CO2-negative" because the CO2 content in the atmosphere is ultimately reduced.

Largest sustainability fund in Abu Dhabi

Together with the largest sustainability fund in Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates), the consortium has formed a strategic alliance to finance and construct "below zero" methanol production facilities. In the USA, the focus is on sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). To this end, EWU Tech is cooperating with leading European logistics companies to secure supplies in America.

A great success story in the Diplomatic Council: from book to reality!
