New DC Mission in France

With the opening of a new mission in France, the Diplomatic Council strengthens its presence in Europe and beyond in all French-speaking countries. The establishment of the mission goes back to Ambassador Buddhi Athauda, who was engaged as ambassador in France for many years. He has established a wide network of contacts there, right up to French President Emmanuel Macron. From this circle comes, for example, DC Consul Claude Piel, who, among other things, shone with the book "Battle for Water" at the UN Water Conference 2023 in New York.

Dr. Maxime Boyer

Mr. Maxime Boyer has been appointed as  Head of Mission of the Diplomatic Council for France. This young promising politician, who is among other things the Deputy mayor of Toulouse and Vice President of Toulouse Metropole. He has been working with diplomats in France for a long time promoting investments and trade all around the world. His initiatives and activities with investment, trade and cultural organizations across France has earned him great respect. His network with regional institutions of member states of the EU and his position in some EU bodies will promote the europeans values and strategic vision.

With the opening of the new Mission in France, the Diplomatic Council strengthens its presence in Europe and beyond in all French-speaking countries. The establishment of the Mission is an initiative of  Ambassador Buddhi Athauda, who had served as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Sri Lanka in France (2017 - 2020). The principle idea of the Diplomatic Council, the investment and economic promotion with diplomacy has been brought to greater prominence and higher focus, since he met the French President Emmanuel Macron (former investment banker)  at his Credential ceremony.

Access to network of the Diplomatic Council members all over the world will be expanded with the new appointment.

The Head of Mission Induction Ceremony took place during the Diplomatic Council's summer Celebration Dinner,  July 13 in Frankfurt, Germany.

The French DC circle also includes, DC Consul Claude Piel, who among other things, authored the book "Battle for Water"  presented at the UN Water Conference 2023 in New York.
