Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand (Ambassador of the Year 2014)

H.E. Ambassador Nongnuth Phetcharatana has been accredited as the Ambassador of Thailand in Germany since 2012. She was voted “Ambassador of the Year” in 2014.

Before this assignment she was Ambassador of Thailand in Austria, Slovakia and Slovenia. As a Permanent Representative she represented Thailand in notable organizations such as the International Atomic Energy Agency, which on a regular basis reports to the UN general Assembly and the UN Security Council. She furthermore acted as Permanent Representative of Thailand to the UN Industrial Development Organization and the UN Organization for Security and Co-Operation in Europe (OSCE). H.E. Ambassador Nongnuth Phetcharatana is the author of several acclaimed publications, i.e. “The U.S. Foreign Aid Factor in Thai Development” and “Thai-U.S. Relations: Forging a New Partnership in the 21st Centrury”.

To honor her globally successful commitment, H.E. Ambassador Nongnuth Phetcharatana has received numerous awards, and carries the title of “Knight Grand Cordon (Special & First Class) of the Most Exalted Order of the White Elephant” and “Knight Grand Cross (First Class) of the Most Noble Order of the Crown of Thailand”.
