"Health for Peace: Resources to Support Your Work in Peacebuilding“ was the theme of this year’s side event jointly organized by the Diplomatic Council, the World Federation of Mental Health (WFMH) and the World Health Organization (WHO) of the United Nations.
Presenters were Dr. Andrew Chi (New York) and Albert Frantz (Vienna), both Diplomatic Council members, as well as Dr. Kelly O’Donnell (World Federation for Mental Health) and Guillaume Simonian (World Health Organization). Moderator was Hang Nguyen, Dipomatic Council Secretary General. The side event took place at the Palais de Nations which serves as the headquarters of UN Geneva.
It was the second time the Dipomatic Council has organised an official side event at the Geneva Peace Week (GPW), however, the first time in joint collaboration with WHO and WFMH.
Geneva Peace Week is a collective action initiative facilitated by the United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG), the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, and the Geneva Peacebuilding Platform in collaboration with the Swiss Confederation.
