Let us bid farewell to the old year and turn to the New Year 2025. We will toast to this at the Diplomatic Council's New Year's Reception on 5 February in Frankfurt.
FOR MORE INFORMATION AND REGISTRATION
In view of the dramatic global developments, we are launching a new book at the beginning of the year that provides a guideline for the future direction of the Diplomatic Council: ‘Europe and the Emerging New Global Order’. With Ambassador Christoph Heusgen, Chairman of the Munich Security Conference, Ambassador Prof. Dr. Heinrich Kreft, President of the Diplomatic Council (DC), Jochen M. Richter, Chairman of the DC Global Security Forum, Dr. Horst Walther, DC Commissioner to the UN and many other well-known personalities who have contributed to this unique work.*
Dress code: dark suit, chic attire or national costume.
Our New Year's meeting will take place at Villa Bonn in the heart of Frankfurt/Germany, which is already well known to many members. The Wilhelminian-style bourgeois palace from 1897 in Frankfurt's Westend is located on the park grounds at Siesmayerstraße 12 (60323 Frankfurt am Main, Germany). Despite its city centre location, Villa Bonn has sufficient parking spaces (free of charge). For those who arrive late and can no longer find a parking space there, the Palmengarten multi-storey car park is in the immediate vicinity.
Over an exquisite dinner – including corresponding wines, beer, water and coffee in the participation fee – we will certainly not only talk about Europe's role in a dramatically changing world order, but also about our personal hopes and plans for the New Year. As one guest praised last year: ‘An evening in a special atmosphere with excellent cuisine. The setting was so beautiful that everything else is quickly forgotten, it is a small, perfect world.’ Well, in 2025 everything is just as beautiful, but this year the ‘small world’ encompasses ‘the whole world’!
