At the Diplomatic Council’s (DC) summer reception on 16 June in Frankfurt am Main, all authors who have published their work with DC Publishing will receive special recognition. In a formal ceremony, they will be presented with the “Quality Writers Award” certificate. Authors who have contributed to a second or third book will receive distinctions in silver, gold, or gold on ribbon.

The “Quality Writers Award” reflects the conviction that, even in an age defined by speed and constant quantification, quality continues to hold a central place. Those who take the time to set down their thoughts in a manuscript, drawing on personal insight and experience as well as often extensive research, and who undergo a rigorous editorial process until a high-quality printed book emerges, merit recognition in their own right.

The Diplomatic Council certificate “Quality Writers Award” attests that the respective contribution meets the high standards required for official submissions to the United Nations. Through its UN Consultative Status, the Diplomatic Council is part of the close advisory circle to the United Nations, with the right to contribute considered written input on the key issues of our time. This is precisely what all authors published by the Diplomatic Council’s imprint set out to do.

The certificates will be presented by the President of the Diplomatic Council, Ambassador Prof. Dr. Heinrich Kreft, and the Secretary General, Hang Nguyen, together with the editors where applicable. All awards are granted only in person.
