the end of the year is approaching and finally the time has come to get together with our family and friends in peace and harmony. And while we sit at the richly served tables eating and drinking more than we can tolerate, we should be grateful and humble first and foremost. Grateful because nothing we own can ever be taken for granted and humble because all we possess is a precious gift.
None of us will leave this planet alive. When death is upon us, we will realize that we cannot take anything from this life with us. Human beings are born into this world with empty hands and we shall leave mother earth again with no possessions. This is why it is all the more important, for our limited time on earth, to focus on immaterial values such as love, humanity, helpfulness, respect and trust. If we live up to these values, our memory will linger in the hearts of our family and friends and make us immortal.
Love is the basis of everything. Like a flower that needs water to grow, every child needs the love of its parents to survive and it would die without this love. And when a child later becomes a parent, it will provide the same love to its child again. Love is essential for the continued existence of mankind. Love is the most important gift we can give and take at Christmas.
In this spirit, We wish you all a Merry Christmas filled with much love and I look forward to seeing you again next year.
