Axel Foery Joins the Diplomatic Council as Director Quantum & AI

Global think tank strengthens its quantum technology team

Diplomatic Council Quantum Leap (DCQL) has appointed Axel Foery as Director Quantum & AI. The appointment underlines the ambition of the global think tank, which holds consultative status with the United Nations, to step up its work in quantum technology and artificial intelligence.

Axel Foery joins an international team led by internet pioneer Harald A. Summa. Last year, the initiative made headlines around the world with an in-depth briefing for member states at the annual session of the UN Commission on Science and Technology for Development. DCQL acts as a hub of expertise, bringing together leading figures from business, academia and politics to share knowledge and help companies and public bodies prepare for the quantum era.

Foery brings more than 30 years’ international experience in leadership, technology and business development to the role. He is widely regarded as one of the leading strategists where quantum technology, artificial intelligence and digital security meet. His focus is on putting quantum computing, quantum security and AI to work strategically, responsibly and profitably – particularly for businesses, critical infrastructure and public institutions. He combines deep technical expertise with a firm grasp of what it takes to deliver in practice, create real business value and build long-term resilience.

He has spent more than a decade successfully and profitably running quantum technology companies. Today, he advises decision-makers on how to seize the opportunities offered by quantum computing, quantum-safe security and modern authentication – while safeguarding their organisations against the risks of the quantum age.
