Educational sponsorship to end poverty
Education is the foundation for a better life. It gives people a fair chance to get employment, to escape poverty, to support their families, and to develop their communities.
The Diplomatic Council has launched a program called “Diplomatic Council Educational Sponsorship” encouraging its members to become godparents and finance studies for poor adolescents, mainly orphans, in underdeveloped countries. For this purpose, we first seeks members and friends within our organisation, obtain their commitment and then collaborate with orphanages/organisations to find orphans who have the potential to complete a vocational training or a study.
Educational justice through quality learning
Educational justice is key for providing equal chances in life, in particular for those in developing countries. Many examples show hat education makes a huge difference to poverty and women’s rights.
Often educational justice is equated with educational equality. The assumption is that educational justice is achieved whenever all students are granted the opportunity to learn the same things. Unfortunately this is not the case as it ignores learners’ skills, circumstances and interests. This again leads to content dominating our institutionalized learning in both schools and universities. Instead of giving every learner the content he or she needs in order to succeed, the same content is provided for everyone regardless of prior knowledge and/or interests.
The ideal solution would be that students’ learning goals define the learning and teaching process. The satisfaction of individuals achieving those goals has the potential to make students happier and to keep them motivated. For the purpose of achieving the goal of more individualized learning, Qualityminds has created the e-QualityLearning platform designed to support the learning goals of the student by offering suitable content combined with different learning methods.

Fair and free trade
Freedon and fairness are among the most precious values the human race has and yet they are violated all over the world. Restricitions to freedom takes place in the event of a fence being built around a country limiting the freedom of travel for the population. Freedom is also lost whenever the free flow of good and services is restricted.
Already in the 18th century, Adam Smith has detailed in his book “The Wealth of Nations” that economic isolation and protectionism causes damages to the countries, in particular to the population. More than 200 years ago, economist David Ricardo has already proven that a free foreign trade is advantageous for all economies.
Trade is essential for sustainable economic growth and prosperity. It increases employment and improves the working conditions. The poorest countries in Africa and Asia are struggling with the effects of high under-employment and poverty. Hence, a free and fair trade is vital because a flourishing economy and the well-being of the population leads to more peace and stability and helps reducing crisis and wars.
