Four startups in the spotlight on 1 July

At the initiative of the Consul General of the Republic of France, Nicolas Bergeret, a Franco-German Startup Summit will take place on 1 July as part of the Diplomatic Council’s Summer Celebration.

Three French and one German startup will present themselves: Compredict, Celestical, Lucca, and dataMatters.

Compredict targets the automotive industry, including manufacturers and suppliers, with its virtual sensor technology. The company leverages existing vehicle data and algorithms to replace physical sensors. Its virtual sensor technology analyses data such as speed, acceleration, or temperature to calculate conditions like tyre or brake wear without additional hardware. This reduces costs, minimises weight, and enables seamless integration into Software-Defined Vehicles (SDVs). At the Diplomatic Council’s Summer Festival, Compredict will be represented by Stéphane Foulard, Co-Founder and CEO.

Celestical began by offering cloud computing solutions for startups and software developers and now provides sovereign cloud solutions for larger companies and institutions. Its applications are diverse, ranging from AI-supported menu planning in hospitals to official computing platforms for the European Space Agency. Celestical positions itself as a credible European alternative to major US cloud providers. On 1 July, Celestical will be represented by its CEO, Red Boumghar.

Lucca is a software company offering Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions to automate HR and administrative processes for businesses and organisations. This includes digital personnel files, onboarding, performance management, training, leave and absence management, time tracking, expense reports, company cards, compensation management, payslip delivery, and preliminary payroll accounting. Over 8,700 customers in more than 130 countries already rely on Lucca, with its online solutions used daily by over 1.5 million employees. Guillaume Mouron, Chief Business Technology Officer, will represent Lucca at the Startup Summit initiated by Consul General Nicolas Bergeret.

dataMatters supports cities, municipalities, districts, and arrondissements in transforming into Smart Cities. The company has introduced urbanOS, the world’s first operating system for Smart Cities, and provides comprehensive support from initial consultation and planning to obtaining necessary permits, on-site implementation, including craftsmanship, and ongoing maintenance. Typical benefits of Smart Cities include improved citizen services, revitalised city centres, optimised public transport, waste management, and other municipal services, all while significantly reducing costs. On 1 July, Gauthier Nelkin, Product Lead France, will represent dataMatters. The French city of Toulouse is already connected to urbanOS as part of a pilot project, while more than 25 German cities and municipalities are using the municipal operating system.
