The Diplomatic Council Spain

The Diplomatic Council is a Non-Government Organization in Consultative Status with the United Nations. We link diplomacy, business leaders, science’s leading minds and society’s front-runners on resolving mankind’s biggest challenges.

All Diplomatic Council memberships are global. By joining the Diplomatic Council as a member you become part of an elite network far beyond Spain covering all Asia, America and Europe. Two membership levels with different benefits and prestige are available: Executive Member(Silver) and Business Commissioner (Gold).

Mr Juan Ignacio Lorente Gonzalez is an international entrepreneur and investor and serves as the Head of the DC Mission Madrid. He is a founding member of the Global Best Synergy (GBS) Business Group which comprises Gianni Lo Fashion and Grupo Cofares, a leading Spanish distributor of medicines. GBS Group is based in Spain, Russia, Ukraine and in Miami and offers support to investors looking to operate in the Spanish market and Spanish-speaking countries. Further services include facility management for airports, disinfection of aircrafts and medical facilities as well as the organization of premier evens on an ambassadors level.

The Diplomatic Council mission Madrid/Spain acts as an entrance to all Spanish-speaking countries for members.

In collaboration with the UN Department for Political Affairs the mission is co-organising the International Diplomatic Days bringing together diplomats, business leaders and representatives of international organizations. All members of the Diplomatic Council are welcome to attend the International Diplomatic Days which take place in Madrid. All events within the business and diplomatic environment have a clear reference to the principles stated by UN Department of Political Affairs (Diplomacy. Prevention. Action) and the principles of the Global Compact (Corporate Social Responsibility).

Embrace and Save

Once a year the DC mission invites members to its “Embrace and Save” Charity Gala in Madrid. The celebration of the ‘Abraza y Salva’ Charity Gala at the Villa Magna Hotel in Madrid marks the anniversary of the declaration of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, is the launch of an unprecedented scheme for humanitarian fundraising and Corporate Social Responsibility, with assistance and institutional support from prominent figures in the diplomatic corps in Spain.

Our global network is organized across all major industries and divided in sectoral forums, programs and missions.

Forums

Our forums are knowledge sharing groups lead by thought leaders across a variety of topics. They focus on major industries such as but not limited to healthcare, technology, digital, security, manufacturing logistics, international development, corporate communication, media, e-mobility and many more. Members may submit their ideas to lead a forum to the Diplomatic Council Executive Committee for approval.

Missions

Our Mission are regional branches encompass a metropolis, a country or an area of activities (e.g. Madrid, Singapore, Washington DC, Vienna, New York, Brussels, Frankfurt etc.). The Heads of Missions are happy to help members from the area as well as members from abroad looking for Ambassador diplomatic contacts, C-level business contacts and consultancy.
