The Diplomatic Council was established as a Global Think Tank with the objective to serve as a bridge between diplomacy, economy and society. Diplomatic Council members share the idea that economic diplomacy provides a solid foundation for international understanding and a more peaceful interaction amongst nations.

The Diplomatic Council is driven by the strong desire to assist social and humanitarian initiatives with no economic interests in order to help the less privileged ones.

Save the Children Initiative by Diplomatic Council

It is our fervent hope that the damaged roof and spire of the Notre-Dame cathedral would be restored to its original glory with the support of the global community.

Ambassador Buddhi Athauda and President Emmanuel Macron

Diplomatic Council Founding President Ambassador Buddhi Athauda presented his credence as Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Andorra to the Co-Prince Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Republic. H.E. Buddhi Athauda is Ambassador to France, Monaco, Spain, Portugal, Andorra and UNESCO.

President Macron expressed his gratitude for foreign ambassadors for visiting far corners of France and stimulating French rural economy by connecting them to international markets. Diplomatic Council members will benefit from the new and expanded network.
