VIP Invitation China Nanjing Golden Fair

The City Government of China Nanjing is pleased to invite Diplomatic Council members for a VIP visit of the China (Nanjing) Golden Autumn Economic and Trade Fair (referred as the "Golden Fair").

It has been held since 1990 and has been successfully held for 29 sessions. It has become one of the most comprehensive and representative high-level investment promotion events in the Jiangsu Province. It is also one of China's well-known and important regional large-scale exhibition events, with extensive influence in China and globally.

Diplomatic Council joins World Internet of Things Convention

The World Internet of Things Convention will be held in mid-November in Beijing. The Diplomatic Council will be co-host of the event for the first time. "We look forward to a long-term partnership with the WIOTC addressing one of the most important topic for our future", says Luciën Tjon, Diplomatic Council Chairman International Relations.

DC President Dr. Gordan Grlić Radman becomes Croatia’s Minister of Foreign and European Affairs

Croatian top diplomat Dr. Gordan Grlić Radman, member of the Diplomatic Council’s Board of Presidents, has joined the cabinet of his homeland’s sitting XII Prime Minister Andrej Plenković as chief of diplomacy. He succeeds Marija Pejčinović Burić who was elected as the XIV Secretary General of the Council of Europe on 26 June.

Executive Club: more topics, more substance

This year’s Diplomatic Council Executive Club contained more variety and substance according to those members who attended.

Dr. Horst Walther provided a summary on the global political, economic and military climate. His in-depth analysis: more and more the focus has shifted to The Group of Two (G2) – China versus USA; adding Russia one could talk about G3; however, G7, G8 or even G20 loses relevance.

Adobe wins Diversity Award 2019

Adobe Systems is the winner of the 2019 Diversity Award.

A highlight at the Diplomatic Council Summer Celebration was the announcement of the 2019 Diversity Award winner jointly bestowed upon by Diplomatic Council and its member Great Place to Work. The Award is given annually and the winner is selected amongst top 100 best employers with the best diversity management. This year’s winner Adobe Systems proudly accepted the award.

Impeccable blue skies, bright sunshine and temperatures exceeding 30 degrees provided the perfect setting for the “hottest” Diplomatic Council summer celebration ever. More than 150 members and guests experienced an unforgettable evening full of highlights enjoying the fantastic ambience of a royal castle – above all, it was an evening with beautiful encounters, lots of conversations and joy and pleasure.
