The Diplomatic Council, a global think tank, a world leading business network and a charitable foundation in consultative status with the United Nations, is preparing the launch of a Smart City Initiative.

Diplomatic Council members and partners show a new app to give children a secure environment at their smartphone. The Safetonet app is presented at the annual session of the UN Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice in Vienna.

In today’s world, sports are an important component of society. To no small extent, sports contribute to people’s joy and quality of life and impart important values such as fairness, tolerance, teamwork and commitment. They reinforce societal ties and simultaneously present a mirror of society.

The Diplomatic Council was established as a Global Think Tank with the objective to serve as a bridge between diplomacy, economy and society. Diplomatic Council members share the idea that economic diplomacy provides a solid foundation for international understanding and a more peaceful interaction amongst nations.

The Diplomatic Council is driven by the strong desire to assist social and humanitarian initiatives with no economic interests in order to help the less privileged ones.

At the 2019 session of the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice at UN Vienna, the Diplomatic Council will be presenting a new and unique online safety app to protect children. It is an award-winning online child safety app that can safeguard children online, filter unwanted content, block unsuitable mobile apps and help parents moderate excessive mobile screen time without spying.It uses artificial intelligence to tackle key online threats such as cyberbullying, sextortion, grooming, online abuse, and aggression.

We, the Diplomatic Council, strongly condemn the horrific terrorist attack in Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday resulting in precious lives lost and hundreds injured. Our profound condolences go to our Sri Lankan brethren. We all stand in complete solidarity with Sri Lanka in this hour of grief.

Diplomatic Council members are invited to join the twenty-second session of the Commission on Science and Technology for Development (CSTD) which will be held at the Palais des Nations, in Geneva, Switzerland from 13 to 17 May 2019.
