With the opening of a new mission in France, the Diplomatic Council strengthens its presence in Europe and beyond in all French-speaking countries. The establishment of the mission goes back to Ambassador Buddhi Athauda, who was engaged as ambassador in France for many years. He has established a wide network of contacts there, right up to French President Emmanuel Macron. From this circle comes, for example, DC Consul Claude Piel, who, among other things, shone with the book "Battle for Water" at the UN Water Conference 2023 in New York.

The beneficiaries are both the members of the Diplomatic Council and the graduates and lecturers of the Augsburg Management School. "This is an important building block in our master plan for economic diplomacy," emphasises Hang Nguyen, Secretary General of the Diplomatic Council.

UN Commission meets in Vienna
Members of the Diplomatic Council will have the opportunity to attend the 32nd session of the UN Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice. This will be held at the Vienna International Centre (VIC) in Vienna from May 22 to 26.
Participation is possible on-site or online. Session times are from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. each day. The meeting will open in the morning of May 22 in the plenary hall.
